Can I take self-enrichment or bridging courses? Can I take courses that do not contribute to my degree?

If you wish to enroll in courses for pleasure or self-enrichment and these courses do not contribute to your degree, see the following:

Outside of classes offered by the UPOU and the UP System, you are free to pursue whatever self-enrichment program complements (but does not interfere with) your time in the ASIT program. Occasionally, it may even be advisable for you to take bridging courses in order to strengthen your fundamental skills in critical thinking ⇗, academic writing ⇗, and professional communication ⇗. UPOU's Faculty of Education may offer such bridging courses ⇗. There are also plenty of online courses available on the Web that are offered free of charge ⇗ (though be aware that they will often offer a paid upgrade for you to get a certificate). If you do choose to take an online course for self-enrichment outside of UPOU, make sure that it is offered by a reputable university or government institution.
